Binance to Delist AKRO, BLZ, and WRX on December 25, 2024

Andrei IonescuBy Andrei IonescuWednesday, 18 December 2024, 10:32No Comments2 Mins Read

Binance announced its decision to delist three tokens Kaon (AKRO), Bluzelle (BLZ), and WazirX (WRX) effective December 25, 2024, at 03:00 UTC. This move comes as part of Binance’s regular review process to ensure that all listed digital assets meet the platform’s high standards and evolving industry requirements.

    Reasons for Delisting

The decision was based on several factors, including:

    • Insufficient trading volume and liquidity
    • Stability and security concerns regarding the network
    • Lack of ongoing development activity and team commitment
    • Regulatory compliance issues
    • Contribution to a sustainable crypto ecosystem

    Impacted Trading Pairs

The following spot trading pairs will cease trading at the specified time:

    • AKRO/USDT
    • BLZ/BTC, BLZ/USDT
    • WRX/USDT

Key Deadlines and Actions for Users

    1. Spot Trading: All open trade orders will be removed, and token valuations will no longer appear in wallets post-delisting. Users are advised to check their wallet settings to ensure tokens aren’t hidden under “Hide Small Balances.”
    2. Deposits and Withdrawals: Deposits for these tokens will not be credited after December 26, 2024, and withdrawals will cease after February 25, 2025.
    3. Binance Futures: The BLZUSDT perpetual contract will close for trading on December 23, 2024, at 09:00 UTC. Users are advised to settle positions before this time to avoid automatic liquidation.
    4. Binance Margin:
      • Margin trading for these tokens will stop on December 23, 2024, at 10:00 UTC.
      • Borrowing for Cross and Isolated Margin will be suspended starting December 18, 2024, at 15:00 UTC.
    5. Other Binance Services:
      • Simple Earn: Flexible products for these tokens will be automatically redeemed on December 24, 2024, at 03:00 UTC.
      • Convert & Auto-Invest: Conversion and Auto-Invest plans will end by December 25, 2024.
      • Trading Bots & Spot Copy Trading: These services will terminate at December 24, 2024, for the respective tokens and trading pairs.

    Next Steps for Users

    • Transfer Assets: Users should transfer affected tokens to their Spot Wallets before the delisting deadlines.
    • Repay Loans: Margin users with outstanding loans are advised to settle liabilities to avoid forced liquidation or auto-conversion.
    • Manage Investments: Users with active Auto-Invest plans, Gift Cards, or Pay transactions involving these tokens should adjust their strategies accordingly.

Binance emphasized that delisted tokens might be converted to stablecoins after February 26, 2025, though this is not guaranteed. Further notifications will provide updates where applicable.

This decision reflects Binance’s commitment to fostering transparency and ensuring a secure, sustainable trading environment for its users. For more details, users can refer to Binance’s official announcements.
